Most of the recording and mixing process is possible to do in my home studio, which begins to be quite nice. But one thing that I find impossible to get how I want it when I record it my self is vocals. So said and done. I booked a session with Ruben Engzell at Studio Ljudriket. So this Wednesday we spent almost four ours recording vocals for a new version of “Ode to a friend”. And hopefully we will record vocals for two other songs that’s going to be on my up-coming 4-track EP next Wednesday if only I get better from my cold.
Besides recording vocals, the last few months I’ve been practicing a lot of mixing, going through some web courses and with a lot of help of the Mix Mentorship at Chris Graham Mastering. Thanks to my day-job I also have the possibility to buy some nice gear and software so hopefully my skill have improved so the upcoming EP will sound great. I’m planning to have it released in the beginning of February. Until then check out some of my latest stuff.
