Yesterday I had a 3,5 hour long meeting with Pär, founder of the music blog Meadowmusic and PR site Blindmen. We had a really productive time going true some basic when it comes to my homepage. So today I spent all day fixing stuff on my front page and writing a new Bio.
I’m also really excited for tomorrow when “Your dreams” is gonna be played at Radio Kaos Caribou and their show #TheWelcomeShow. Tune in at 23:00 CET.
Like I mentioned yesterday, I’m going to start, aside from my own music, try to highlight other music that I just discovered and really like. It’s a good way to stay in tune with new music and at the same time get some inspiration for my own creations.
First of today is Shotgun Six, a psychedelic grunge rock band from Oxford, UK. My favorite song from their self titled EP is Step a little closer. A really energetic song with a nice composition and arrangement.
My next finding is also a British band, Alternate Function a really talented indie rock/alternative band from Brighton formed by three music students. Their song The End sounds like something to drink beer to a late summers evening.
Last but not least is Sparky: The Band. Don’t know where they from or who they are but the song The Worms is a great tune that starts with just acoustic guitar and vocals and then builds up. The melody is spellbinding.
All this was found on Atom Collectors Records, a great plays to discover new music, promote your own and make some new friends.
All the music I write about and that’s on Spotify will get on my playlist Jon Magnusson’s new favorites.
