Yesterday I started a new work so gone is the lazy days of last weeks. But I really like my job and it gives me the money to keep making music, so I don’t complain.
Just got the first version of my new single back from mixing from Brian Skeel at Chris Graham Mastering and it sounds amazing, so it will soon be off for mastering and hopefully it’s gonna be out in the next few weeks.
Also had some time discovering some new music (it takes me 40 minutes to drive to work) so today I offer you three new findings.
First off is a Swedish band JTS Ronneby, named after a small town in the south of Sweden they play really nice rock. Don’t know how they would label themselves but I would say it leans towards psychedelic rock. My pick from them is “There must be another way“. A really well arranged and executed music pearl. As a lot of other songs this one was picked up at Atom Collector Records.
The next song I found at Radio Kaos Caribou and the great show Ralph’s Indie which airs every Sunday at 16-18 CET at RKC. A lot of nice indie music on it, and my favorite was The Lightning Year from London, UK and their new single Endless Memory. Also in the genre Psychedelic Rock but with a touch of electronic music and a really smooth atmospheric sound. Great band name as well!
Last out today is a Swedish band named after a famous bridge in Stockholm, Västerbron. They play noisy indie rock and sings in Swedish and their song “Flytta isär” (move apart) is a ingenious story about a relationship going to pieces. Great music reminiscent of Jesus and the Mary Chains but with a updated sound. Their website is well worth a visit, especially if you like me grew up reading latest sports news at teletext.
As always all the songs from my blog will be added to my Spotify playlist. If you want me to listen to your music for consideration send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or send me a message on Facebook.
