Socializing Saturday

Hi folks!

This week has been really great but really exhausting, with a lot of stuff to melt from my new work. Luckily I have a 40 minutes drive to work one way, which leaves me more than an hour a day to listen to new music. And I always have been of the opinion that the car is the best plays to listen to music.

Even though I have been more or less a wreck coming home from work I have got some music stuff done. I got the big honor to be featured on Elmer Bermal popular and great playlist “New songs 2017” with more than 13 000 followers. Also got to connect with him, and it happens to be that he’s just a big music fan from The Philippines that made such a good work collecting new music he got a lot of well deserved followers.

This leads me to my subject for today, socializing. Before I thought being a musician was mostly about making good music and then the rest will sort it self out. It wasn’t until about a year ago I started following D Grant Smith that I got more or less enlightened with his philosophy of “Growth Farming”. To make it in today’s music business the most important thing is to connect with others, might it be artist, radio programmers or bloggers.

I started to do this about 2-3 months ago, and not only had it made wonders with my music getting heard and played on radio. Also it has this wonderful side-effect of getting you in contact with a lot of great people who will help you at the same time as you can help them and serve their blog, radio etc with your music. I’m just in the beginning of this process, but if you like me wan’t to evolve as a musician and a human check D Grant Smith out and I can really recommend his book “The DIY Musician’s Radio Handbook” and the connected course Indie Radio Promotion. My best investment so far as an independent artist.

As I been telling before I just joined Atom Collector Records where I have discovered a ton of new music. Both music that is really well produced but also some stuff that has more of a home studio sound, but still gives me 100 times more than listening to mainstream radio. Check out Wivadee for example that makes alternative rock/rap that has a really emotional and honest touch to it. My favorite from him is Lets go.

Also wanna shout out to my pals TRiPmusic and T.C. Newman who decided to collaborate and yesterday came the result “Uplift”. And it is uplifting alright!

That’s all for now. Today I will be working on a new version of my song “Det stoltaste av lag”, a hymn for my favorite team Leksands IF. Probably I will make another update with some cool new stuff on Spotify so keep your eyes open, keep doing music and connect with your fellow human beings.
