But this Sunday isn’t neither silent or gray, so Morrissey’s old hit comes to shame today!
I’ve been spending the weekend mixing a new version of a hymn to the best team in the world, Leksands IF. Maybe not the best time on the field but well on the stands! For a fanatic supporter like me, this time of year is always filled with anxiety since we almost every year has to qualify to stay in SHL (the first division in Swedish hockey).
However, since most of you aren’t hockey fans here is some new findings. For some reason I been listening to a lot of psychedelic rock lately. And first out today is a great psychedelic tune. From North Carolina, US comes Gogo Luck and their song Half a Moon is really worth a listening or two, or ten since it’s only 2,5 minutes long. They are also fellow friends on ACR and really sympathetic guys.
Second out today is a fellow I heard at Radio Kaos Caribou. Graham Marshall, who just released his album Mr. Complicated. A lot of nice folk/singer-songwriter tunes and the song that struck me the most is The Last Line.
Last but not least I give you a band that should be some kind of standard when it comes to modern rock. Personally I think a lot of post-grunge and modern rock sounds way too slick and boring. But Shadowpainter is a great exception from that rule. Kurt Cubain would be proud of his successors and their hit song Choice. Unfortunately they aren’t on Spotify, but give ’em a listen on SoundCloud.
Finally I wanna promote Ralph’s Indie Show tonight at Radio Kaos Caribou where yours truly will be played somewhere between 18-20 CET (Swedish time). Also a good way to discover some other great independent music.
