From bluesy folk to old school British punk

This week has been both interesting and exhausting. Been releasing my new single and at the same time trying to cope with the stress the relegation play off brings.

Music wise I’m going to send my last two songs to my mixing engineer next week so the EP should be done very soon, that’s really exciting.

Today I’m presenting four new songs and they go from really soft and laid back to some new amazing punk.

First out is my homie Vincent Jedselius. This song came out four years ago but it still holds up. Vincent plays bluesy folk with strong reggae influences and for you that doesn’t speak Swedish, I’m sorry to say that you miss out a little bit since he writes really ingenious and personal lyrics and has a lovely accent. But nonetheless, here is “Ja ba kör” (I just go).

Number two today is an artist I found through pure chance when I was reading the great music blog Breaking the waves. Caroline Lazar from Miami, USA, releases her album today, haven’t had time to listen to it yet, but her single Trigger is absolutely lovely. Her voice is really full of emotion and she writes beautiful music so make sure to remember her name (and where you heard it first).

Third song today has a lot more speed then the two first. Chemtrails from London UK makes energetic psychedelic pop/garage and their newest single Deranged is absolutely lovely. Found this gem on FVINDIE, a cool Swedish blog for indie music.

And finally, punk’s not dead! Juxta released his new album “Welcome to your life” today and it is a blast. He’s the first artist to have two songs featured on this blog and that’s because this song is a least as good as “The beautiful ones”. Real old shool english energetic, tight punk. I give you “Growing old disgracefully”.

Have a great weekend!
