Dropping some love

As an independent artist without any connection whatsoever to the mainstream music industry, the support from other artist, radio hosts, bloggers etc is invaluable. The last weeks I got to connect with a lot of cool people. Both other artist and also people willing to share my work. Even bloggers taking their time to listen and come with useful feedback even if it doesn’t really fit their audience. Like Rufus from Indie Feed Music:

“”Hey Jon, thanks for submitting your track! Nice production, good song! You guys have know how to create a lovely vibe 🙂 The reason for declining is because with Indie Feed I’m focused on sharing the best new indie folk and I’m really critical in picking my songs. This song a little too much energy to be added to one of my compilations. I’m mainly focused on some more layedback, chill, creamy indie folk. That’s why I decided that I won’t add this track to my compilation. Hope you understand the decision, much love from Holland. Rufus”

I also got some really kind words from Dr Bones and his fellow co-hosts at his show New Music Saturday.

Last Saturday Dr Bones, ForgottenBee and ONESTANDING played and discussed “Your Dreams”.

And yesterday Dr Bones and Mike (from the great band 1 in Five) played “Ode to a Friend“.

Such an honour to be featured twice at this great show. I recommend you to listen to the whole show since their are really nice folks and they play a lot of good independent music.

I also got on Morning Comute w/Nick from Musolist which is also a great site to connect with other musicians. (Your Dreams starts at ca 32:20)

Also wanna shout out to Lonely Oak Radio who added both “Ode to a Friend” and “Your Dreams” and Mikecast at Somervalley FM who added “Your dreams”.

Finally I wanna thank all my new friends at Atom Collector Records. I cannot give them enough credit for all the help and support the last month. I really recommend you to come and hang out with some nice people in the chat and listen to some new amazing music. And a special thanks to my friend Juxta who is the brain behind all this and he also introduced me to a lot of other cool people. Listen to his album that was released two days ago. It’s great!

To end this odyssey I give you TC Newman and he’s latest work “Winter Years”. A really smooth cinematic EDM track that really gets me.

Keep it real!
