This weekend has been really strange with the horrible events in central Stockholm Friday afternoon. At the same time people really stuck together and treated terrorism as you should treat it, with solidarity and humanity. I’m really impressed by the Swedish police and other authorities and how they handled a chaotic situation. Sadly there’s always people trying to exploit the situation, especially out on the far-right spectrum. But hey, we won’t let them run the terrorist errands by putting people against each other. On my way meeting two friends I went by the scene of the attack and it was so sad and at the same time so moving to see all the flowers and how people was standing together honouring the victims.
The best thing to do after a tragic event like this is to try to live life as usual and not let fear take over. This weekend I spent working on a new song in Swedish laying some guitar tracks and playing with the drum track. I also got the EP finished and it should be available in a few days. Had a lot of great support from my friends at Radio Kaos Caribou who’s going to play Ode to a Friend on #TheWelcomeShow tonight at 11PM CSET and I’m also planning some stuff together with them for the release of the EP.
Also got 4/5 Oaks for the intro song, “Visa från Utanmyra” from my EP on Lonely Oaks Radio, which means it’s going to be played every now and then on their radio station in the near future.
To end this weekend I give you a new favorite of mine that was also played at #TheWelcomeShow at #RKC. The Fidgets and their single Everywhere I Go.
Keep it real and take care of each other.
