Another working week is done. It has been a great one and I also had time for some music related events.
Through Nessi Holt, selector at RKC and blogger on Carpe Carmina I found the great initiative #MusicHourUK where artist and music fans share their favorite music via Twitter Mondays and Tuesdays. I connected with some really great people and also found some new music. Also find a name for my playlist #Keepoutofthemainstream, and that’s also how I try to stay on my toes to discover new music and find inspiration for my own.
Four songs from this week got into my playlist and they are well worth checking out:
Sophie Keats – Ned of the Hill. Great symphonic folk music and a lovely voice. Makes me wanna re-read The Lord of the Rings for the tenth time.
Verity White – Too Much. Normally not my type of rock music, but Verity has an honesty in her singing that makes me really like this song. And she’s really fun to chat with as well. So why not follow her on Twitter.
Izzy Fin – Are You In Love. Amazing music and a lovely voice. This girl has all the qualities to make it. I’m totally in love with this song.
Drunk Poets – Dark Old Houses. Great arrangement and Chris voices blends really well with the female singer in this folk jewel.
This isn’t all the great music I found the last week. But I’ll be back with more post during the weekend.
