A hell of a weekend!

It has been such a great weekend. The release of “Pensamentos Relevantes” with Brunosmoky and mixed by Tobi was really well received.  And if you haven’t heard it already, here’s another chance.

Apple Music

The new song also got a few nice spins around the world. Premiering on “Discover New Artists” with Ivan Roberts on Hospital Radio Crawley last Friday. Then played on Alan Forbes “The Future Starts Here” on North Highland Radio and today it was spun on Valley FM and the show “Sweet Sunday Sounds” with Isaac Banks. It’s also being picked up by the great Ted Evans for his show “Cultofsuperted presents” on Riviera FM. A big thank you for all the support.

And if it wasn’t enough with the new release this Friday I also have the big honour to play on Emergenza Festival. One of the biggest festivals for up and coming acts.

It was hell of fun to play and an extra big thanks to my wife, mom, sister, Sara, Jonna and Danne for coming there to support me. It felt a bit hard though to have a chance in the voting since most of the bands had a lot bigger crowd coming, but still it was a great experience and it was awesome to watch the other acts with everything from soft piano indie pop to hip hop and death metal. My personal favorites and also the winner of the night were Exploding Pets. Keep an eye open for those guys. Here’s some pics from the other acts of the night.

music recommendations

I found a hell a lot of new music the last weeks so I actually don’t manage to write to much about all of it. But trust me, all the songs I list here are well worth listening to.

Daniel Feinberg just released his new album and beside the single “Summer on the West Coast” this is my favorite. Sounds a lot like Belle & Sebastian, one of my favorite indie pop bands.

Aaron Cabott Jones play’s indie rock with influences from both older rock stuff like Beatles and Tom Petty as well as newer acts like Coldplay and Creed.

And then some nice indie pop/folk from Argentina and NORS.

As a part of the collective Rogalist Records, Ingo a.k.a. Dephinite is one of the greatest guys in the independent scene and he also does really cool psychedelic electronica.

Speaking of electronica, but more old-school synth pop, Jeff McCall is also a great guy that reached out to me on Facebook this week and I really enjoy his music.

And from the UK comes this fantastic Indie Rock band, Trampolene.

And from my neighbor country Finland comes this awesome progressive rock band. I wish I could solo guitar like this. And the band name Blind Hen is no less than awesome.

And then over to some dark EDM from the British Islands, namely DNPQ

And from UK is also Hannah Clive a amazing singer songwriter who just released a new single, and it’s awesome.

And speaking of awesome. One of my best buddies in the Independent scene and one of the most interesting artists, Lemonade Kid, never disappoints us. This is my favorite song from his latest album.

So there’s some stuff to make your Sunday a little better. And I hope you’ll have a great week to come.
